Wilderness First Aid

Our Wilderness First Aidcourse typically describes a training program designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills to provide immediate medical care in remote or outdoor environments, where access to advanced medical services is limited, covering topics like basic life support, wound management, fracture stabilization, managing environmental emergencies (heatstroke, hypothermia), and patient assessment, often with an emphasis on improvisation using readily available materials in the field. This course is cotaught with Dr. Kimberly Meehan and volunteer service providers from Cuba FD and/or PD.
